The association has all new board members sign a conflict of interest agreement. As an additional step, the association asks board members to disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to taking any significant action during the course of doing business.

THE BOARD USES A COMPENSATION COMMITTEE COMPRISED OF THE PAST CHAIR, CURRENT CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR OF THE ASSOCIATION. THIS COMMITTEE CONDUCTS A SALARY SURVEY OF SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE COMPENSATION FOR ITS TOP EXECUTIVE. THIS SURVEY IS COMPLIMENTED BY A REVIEW OF THE EXECUTIVE'S PERFORMANCE AGAINST ANNUAL GOALS. THE COMPENSATION COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATIONS ARE APPROVED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND INCORPORATED INTO THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL BUDGET. THE executive director DETERMINES COMPENSATION FOR other EMPLOYEES BY CONDUCTING PERIODIC SALARY SURVEYS OF SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS. THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REVIEWS AND ESTABLISHES COMPENSATION FOR other EMPLOYEES AFTER REVIEWING THE executive director's FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

Part X, Line 2:

Accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the Association and recognize a tax liability (or asset) if the Association has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Association, and has concluded that as of December 31, 2016 and 2015, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. The Association is subject to audits by taxing authorities; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.
