STATE ECSA AND FEDERAL ECSA - ECONOMIC SECURITY FOR ALL (ECSA) IS A POVERTY REDUCTION PROGRAM THAT SUPPORTS LOW-INCOME WASHINGTONIANS IN THEIR PURSUIT OF EQUITY, DIGNITY, AND SUSTAINED SELF-SUFFICIENCY. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO COORDINATE EXISTING SYSTEMS THROUGH INTENSIVE PROGRAM NAVIGATION, LOCAL INNOVATION, AND FLEXIBLE SUPPORT THAT FILLS GAPS AND MEET NEEDS WITHIN EXISTING PROGRAMS AND REGULATIONS. THE SERVICE MODEL RELIES ON A LOCAL COORDINATION TEAM, RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE FOLLOWING SERVICES: BUNDLING MULTIPLE BENEFITS TO STABILIZE CUSTOMERS' HOUSEHOLDS, CREATING CAREER PLANS FOR CUSTOMERS TO REACH A SELF-SUFFICIENCY EARNINGS GOAL, COORDINATING WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT ACROSS PROGRAMS TO FILL GAPS IN BENEFITS, CONNECTIONS TO TRAINING OR EDUCATION, WITH FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO COVER LIVING EXPENSES AND SUPPORTING CUSTOMERS UNTIL THEY ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY. BASIC FOOD EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING - THE BASIC FOOD EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM IS WASHINGTON STATE'S SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM. BFET PROVIDES EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES TO BASIC FOOD RECIPIENTS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE STATE'S TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES OR REFUGEE CASH ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. BFET IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE STATE'S COMPREHENSIVE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM AND PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN WASHINGTON'S TWO-GENERATION APPROACH, REDUCING POVERTY AND INCREASING PROSPERITY FOR FAMILIES. BFET ASSISTS BASIC FOOD RECIPIENTS TO ACHIEVE THEIR HUMAN POTENTIAL BY ENCOURAGING ECONOMIC WELL-BEING THROUGH SKILL ACQUISITION, EDUCATION AND GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. BFET ACTIVITIES INCLUDE JOB SEARCH TRAINING, SUPERVISED JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE, EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS TRAINING. THE PROGRAM ALSO OFFERS CASE MANAGEMENT IN ALL ACTIVITIES, JOB RETENTION SERVICES AND WRAPAROUND SUPPORTS SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION AND CHILD CARE TO FACILITATE SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM COMPLETION. BANKWORK/CAREERWORK - CAREER PATH SERVICES' CAREERWORK MEDICAL AND BANKWORK PROGRAMMING, PREPARES JOB SEEKERS FOR ENTRY-LEVEL, NON-CLINICAL POSITIONS OR ENTRANCE INTO FINANCIAL SERVICE ROLES AS A FIRST STEP TO CAREER SUCCESS IN THE HEALTHCARE AND BANKING INDUSTRIES.
