Activity 2

Ayr has been a state certified adolescent drug treatment facility since 1983. Ayr offers adolescent substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment services. These services are offered to individuals, families, schools, and other community organizations through a continuum of programs ranging from prevention to aftercare. The overall goal of the program is to prevent and reduce youth substance abuse in our communities. Ayr provides these services in king & pierce counties, in schools and in our agency locations in enumclaw and auburn.

Activity 3

Auburn youth resources provides 48 units of homeless housing services dedicated to homeless youth. This includes an 8-bed shelter for youth 12-17, 40 scattered site housing units for youth and young mothers aged 18-24. Ayr staff provides case management to clients in this program that includes training in a broad spectrum of life skills such as parenting, education, employment and basic housekeeping skills to appropriately develop and maintain successful independent living skills. The agency owns and operates a 16-unit housing program serving low-income families in enumclaw and the plateau. Four of the units are dedicated to transitional living services for formerly homeless young families. Housing services are coupled with intensive case management services that focus on life skills training, parenting skills training and job readiness. Our street outreach program is designed to target homeless and runaway youth along the highway 99 corridor from seatac to federal way and in the valley cities of renton, kent and auburn. The goal of the program is to identify and make contact with homeless young people and provide assistance and referrals in an attempt to get them off the streets and into safe and stable housing.
