“The Board of Directors of Seafood Nutrition Partnership hereby approved the following resolutions: Amend the Seafood Nutrition Partnership By-Laws, Article III, Section 1, Part (d) to read, "Each member of the Board shall be elected for a two (2) year term, with their term of office to commence on the first day after the annual meeting at which such director was elected and to expire two (2) years thereafter or until his or her successor has been appointed and qualified.”

“A draft copy of Form 990 is provided to the organization for review prior to filing the return. The Treasurer confirms the information submitted in this process. The 990 is presented to the full board prior to filing the return with the IRS.”

“All officers and directors are required to disclose annually interests that could give rise to conflicts. The policy is reviewed on an annual basis.”

“Compensation for the Executive Director was determined based upon a benchmarking study of data from a variety of sources, including The Bridgespan Group, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Center for Association Leadership, and CEO Update. At this time and for the foreseeable future, the Corporation does not expect to pay any compensation to its other officers, directors and any others providing services to the organization will all do so as volunteers. However, if the organization does pay any compensation to directors, officers, or any other employees at some future time, the organization will follow the practices used for establishing the Executive Director compensation.”

“The organization makes public Form 1023 and Form 990 upon request. The organization does not provide documents not required for public inspection.”

“Love Your Heart - Eat Your Seafood (continued) In October 2015, SNP launched a national public health education campaign in 9 cities: Birmingham, AL; Brunswick, GA; Charleston, WV; Indianapolis, IN; Jacksonville, FL; Lexington, KY; Memphis, TN; Oklahoma City, OK; Toledo, OH In each city we invite a coalition of elected officials and leaders in the business, healthcare and wellness, faith, culinary and academia communities to support the campaign and provide interactive events to educate members of the communities about the health benefits of seafood and how to include it more frequently into daily meals. Our main call to action is for people to take the Healthy Heart Pledge, which is to eat seafood twice a week for at least four months, which is the amount of time needed to measure heart health improvements. SNP provides support to pledge makers with monthly eNewsletters, recipes, and coupons.
