| The Reed For Hope Foundation successfully provided for and/or contributed to the process of free health and wellness screenings to more than three thousand persons across the United States and educated and affected more than one million people towards better health and wellness, living conditions, water quality, and community involvement through health centered events, initiatives, videos, social media campaigns, partners in charity and the reach and influence of our health ambassadors. We feel that we have to continue to be a leader in innovation and creativity in our efforts to have sustainable impact on community attitudes towards diet, wellness, disease prevention and other vital areas. Here are some of the events and programs from our foundation in 2014:SUNSHINE BEYOND SUMMER AWARENESS Event - THE 2014 "SUNSHINE BEYOND SUMMER" EVENT GATHERED MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND INFLUENTIAL ATTENDEES AT THE HOME OF RFHF SUPPORTER AND AMBASSADOR TO PRESIDENT OBAMA - LORNA JOHNSON, FOR A PARTY WITH A PURPOSE. THE PURPOSE WAS TO EDUCATE OR "EDU-TAIN" THE ATTENDEES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF TESTING FOR TARGETED HEALTH CONDITIONS AND TO GET THEM TO PLEDGE TO THE RFHF LOVE HEALTHY AFFIRMATIONS WITH THE HOPES OF HAVING THEM ENCOURAGE THEIR FANS AND SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS TO DO THE SAME. ONE STRATEGY WAS TO INSPIREOUR MOST INFLUENTIAL FRIENDS TO USE THEIR COLLECTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA CURRENCY TO CREASTE A HEALING MOVEMENT ACROSS THE GLOBE BY INFITING THEIR FOLLOWERS AND FANS TO JOIN TOGETHER WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO STAY HEALTHY THROUGH PREVENTION. WE ENCOURAGED THEM TO GET TESTED FOR HIV/AIDS AND TO "LOVE HEALTHY" IN THE SPIRIT OF COLLABORATIVE WELLNESS.OUR LOVE HEALTHY LOUNGE PLAYED HOST TO INTERVIEWS BY MANY CELEBRITIES AND INFLUENTIAL ATTENDEES. VIDEOS FROM THIS SESSION ARE UPLOADED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR BY THE FOUNDATION USING DIFFERENT MEDIUMS TO REACH THE TARGET AUDIENCE. THE FOUNDATION IS PROUD TO HAVE REACHED MORE THAN 12 MILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE, WITH THE CORE MESSAGES OF THE DAY AMPLIFIED BY LYNN WHITFIELD, KYM WHITLEY, REGINA KING, MC LYTE, AND OTHERS LEADING THE CHARGE WITH THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMSOTHER PARTNERS IN CHARITY FOR THE EVENT WERE THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, AND AIDS HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION. THE. FOUNDATION IN ITS PARTNERSHIPS WITH AHA AND AFH PROVIDED ON SITE HIV AIDS TESTING AND COUNSELING, AND HEART AND COLESTOROL TESTING AND COUNSELING. MORE THAN ? FREE HIV/AIDS TEST KITS TO GUESTS MADE POSSIBLE BY WAY OF A DONATION FROM AIDS HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION AND AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. BEYOND THAT, THE FOUNDATION ENCOURAGED EVEN MORE FOLLOWERS OF OUR GUESTS TO VISIT THEIR PERSONAL DOCTORS TO SEEK THE BEST METHOD FOR TESTING AND TAKING CONTROL OF THEIR HEALTH.Love Healthy Programming at BET EXPERIENCE 2014Event RecapThe Reed for Hope Foundation (RFHF) partnered with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA) to host an interactive health exhibit at the 2014 BET Experience. The event was held as part of Reed for Hopes Love Healthy campaign and was aimed to encourage healthy lifestyle choices, to promote responsibility as it relates to sexual health, and to offer free HIV screenings to the thousands of fans attending the BET Fanfest.The free two-day event featured live entertainment, including a DJ, and cash giveaways and other promotional items as testing incentives. A key attraction at the exhibit was The Love Seat where fans got up close and personal with their favorite celebrities, including Reed for Hope Awareness Ambassadors who participated in discussions about dating, sexual health and general wellness.
