In working with students using Photovoice, I realized that the method may not apply to indigenous mindsets, or the mindsets of everyday people who are NOT in academia. Leo Pa'i Ki'i was customized to indigenous mindsets, specific to Native Hawaiians and can be translated to other indigenous communities. Recognized across the U.S., Puerto Rico, France and Hawai'i, this method has proven successful and has been applied towards curriculum in healing, substance use prevention/intervention and with collegiate professors who teach a variety of disciplines such as English literature, Psychology 101, and Marine biology. The advancement of this curriculum is Ki'i Makawalu; where we utilize ike kupuna to create, shift and guide different subjects as an indirect approach to very specific teachings. Think of it as a the "master key" to weave cultural intelligence into universal subjects. Open to educators, professors, mentors, and students who work with indigenous cultures, specifically Native Hawaiians.$5,333$5,333
