All policy volunteers are required to update and sign the conflict of interest policy annually. Under the direction of the Greater Wichita YMCA's Audit Committee chairperson, the CFO reviews the volunteer conflict of interest disclosures. The CFO and the Audit Committee chair, determine whether a potential conflict exists. Annually, the Board of Directors reviews all potential conflicts of interest. Persons with a conflict are prohibited from participating in all deliberations and decisions surrounding the identified potential conflict of interest transaction. The Board asks the interested persons to step out of the meeting for deliberation and voting.”

“Line items 15a and 15b are answered "no" due the to the top management officials being employees of a related organization, the Young Men's Christian Association of Wichita, Kansas (the YMCA). The YMCA uses wage surveys of similarly suited not-for-profit organizations and other similarly sized YMCAs, along with wage studies published by the Y of the USA for determining wage levels, including that of the CEO. Compensation of the YMCA's CEO is determined each year by the Executive Committee of the YMCA. The Committee establishes annual goals for the CEO, evaluates the CEO's performance, and uses comparability data in setting the CEO's compensation. The Committee maintains written records of its deliberations and discussions. Compensation of other officers and key employees is determined by their supervisors, utilizing the wage surveys and studies mentioned previously, with the expertise of the YMCA's human resources department.”
