ALVARO PASCUAL-LEONE OF HARVARD UNIVERSITY FOR IMPROVED TREATMENTS FOR TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY. DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT TOOLS SUCH AS ANS (AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM MONITORING) AND TMS (TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION) ARE BEING VALIDATED AS TWO OF THE MOST PROMINENT TOOLS TO TACKLE THE COMPLEXITIES OF TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND SUDDEN DEATH SYNDROME.DRS. PHILIP SCHATZ AND ROSEMARIE MOSER CONTINUE TO MAKE ADVANCES IN THE AREA OF MILD TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND SPORTS CONCUSSION. THEY CO-AUTHORED A LANDMARK ARTICLE THAT WAS PUBLISHED IN THE JOURNAL OF PEDIATRICS, THE FIRST EMPIRICAL STUDY TO DOCUMENT EFFICACY OF THE USE OF COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL REST AS TREATMENT IN CONCUSSION. THIS WAS ALSO PRESENTED AS PART OF THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL CONSENSUS CONFERENCE ON CONCUSSION IN SPORT IN ZURICH, SWITZERLAND.DR. ROSEMARIE MOSER WAS APPOINTED TO THE EXPERT PANEL ON PEDIATRIC TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY OF THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION TO DEVELOP U.S. STANDARDS.IBRF FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING RESEARCH PROTOCOLS FOR MILD TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER IN THE MILITARY. THIS WAS PROMPTED BY THE REQUEST OF THE U.S. ARMY.
