Provide supportive services to homeless and housing insecure individuals in the Mount Washington Valley Area. We accomplish this with our strategic plan in mind focusing on the acronym HOME. H is housing. We have been awarded and are awaiting governor approval of a grant to renovate the structure we operate from to offer congregate living space. O is operations, our current services to clients. P was changed to M which represents mobile ops facilitated by a van purchased in Dec 2025 allowing us to go into the community to reach clients unable to come to us. The previous "P" represented poverty mitigation facilitated by a program which proved impractical in our rural area. E for Economic Stabilization allows us to provide one time support to cover relatively small items such as the first months rent for a long awaited apartment, or a car battery to permit the client to get to work thereby preventing homelessness or lessening the burden of a difficult situation.

| Description | Grants | Expenses |
|---|---|---|
| Communication. We provide phones and phone cards to stay in contact with our clients which number from 35-50 at any given time. We check on their well being and determine what services they need. We issued 47 phones and 381 phone cards to clients. | $0 | $14,833 |
| Transportation assistance. We provide gas cards in varying denominations for clients with cars enabling them to get to jobs or appointments and warmth for those sleeping in their cars. We issued 339 gas cards to clients. | $0 | $10,867 |
| Stabilization. We provide one time payments to clients in emergency situations which could mean the difference between survival or devastation. Examples include covering a security deposit for a long sought after rental apartment or replacing a car battery or temporary housing in a motel when pipes freeze. We have provided over 7 thousand dollars in 5 different situations. | $0 | $7,618 |
| Laundry capability. We have washer and dryer capability at our facility but with COVID our clients were not permitted to use them so we continued to issue prepaid laundry cards along with detergent for a local laundromat. This enabled sanitary living conditions and a presentable appearance for work or appointments. We provided over 360 laundry cards. | $0 | $6,684 |
| We continually strive to keep our administrative costs low so most of our donations go to supporting our clients. Donors have told us they appreciate the values of the board and trust the board to judiciously spend their donations. However, we must cover equipment purchases and repairs along with business supplies and operating expenses together with computer software and annual software licenses. We perform background checks on our volunteers and pay for liability, directors, and workers comp insurance. | $0 | $6,392 |
| Personal items such as camping equipment for clients living in tents or personal hygiene items and postage or document requests to verify identification all contribute to the improved living conditions of those individuals living on the edge of survival. We communicate with approximately 50 individuals or families each week and see an average of 25-40 clients each week. We have donated seasonal clothing items offered to our clients for the taking and we network with other support services available in the area and refer our clients to other services as needed. This year we received a cold weather grant and provided cold weather kits valued at just under $500 to those clients who were living in the woods. | $0 | $6,303 |
| Way Station is now affiliated with the National Organization, Circles USA. Circles provides leadership in a proven method of helping guide individuals out of poverty to thriving. Annual membership dues provide local step by step guides and local participant training to build the program so it will succeed. We are now at the phase where we are seeking grants for the operation of the program and enlisting volunteers who will act as support to those clients participating to improve their situation. | $0 | $5,300 |
| Groceries. We coordinate with a local food pantry and deliver fresh food to an average of 10 households each week. For those clients who are couch surfing or living in their cars or camping or who just need supplemental foodstuffs we provide nonperishable items eatable from the can. We had over 350 instances of providing nonperishable food in 2022. | $0 | $1,821 |
