Indian arts research center (iarc):the mission of iarc is to preserve, protect, and provide greater access to and enhanced documentation of the iarc collection of southwest indian arts and artifacts. This includes engaging in consultations with tribes and native peoples to help care for, understand, and document the collection; providing training and other information-development and information-sharing opportunities for collections management, conservation, registration, curation, and native art history for tribes, students, and museum professionals; and promoting understanding and appreciation of native arts and creative expression, through the support of native artists and scholars.

Activity 3

Sar press:the mission of sar press is to foster research on human culture, evolution, history, and creative expression through support of the advanced seminar, resident scholar, and native artist fellow programs and publication and distribution of the results of those programs to a wide array of scholarly and public audiences. The press also publishes books by outside authors in topics of importance to the sar mission.
