Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Codecycle.org assists states and local governments with the implementation of building energy efficiency standards. Building efficiency standards are adopted to provide long-term energy savings for homeowners, renters, and businesses. But the complexity of the standards has made them extremely challenging to understand or properly enforce. Codecycle.org develops software systems to simplify the compliance and enforcement process. Codecycle contracts with state and local government entities to assist with the energy code enforcement process. Building departments and their constituents use codecycle.org software to discern energy code requirements for building projects seeking a building permit.
