“Each month, the organization awards 1000 to a community member to pursue a creative venture. The organization funded 10 individuals to run projects in 2021. These projects included a mix of justice and equity initiatives, artistic efforts and creative community infrastructure.”
“The goal of the gallery is to expose the community to art and artists that they might not otherwise connect with by attaching our gallery alongside our primary event space. During our time of closure over the covid-19 pandemic, the organization pivoted to artwork that could be experienced outside, including an led installation on the outside of our building by artist ian brill that brought art to our community safely when entering our physical space was not an option. 15,000 walk past our windows on the corner of beaver ave. And pugh st. Each month and experience this installation.”
“3 dots hired an executive director in april 2021 and reopened to the public in june 2021 with a free weekly community block party series called tuesdays on the terrace. Our monthly numbers tripled, from 1000/month to 3000+/month. We re-embraced first fridays in summer 2021 and expanded our programming partnerships to include local arts and culture individuals and organizations as leaders. We hosted a regional gathering of arts and community leaders from across the mid-atlantic called the creative communities convening in november 2021.”
