Next Step Equal Education is a nonprofit that collaborates with indigenous villages in Guatemala to improve their local education. Our projects include supporting local schools with materials and supplies creating computer labs in villages building new school facilities bringing secondary education to villages providing school snacks and providing scholarships for secondary education.

Our Local Education Advancement Program provides resources for local schools in indigenous Qeqchi villages in Guatemala This past year we provided school supplies and learning materials for 551 elementary and middle school students in four villages provided 11 computers for a middle school and 12 computers with solar power equipment for a computer lab provided tutoring services for 38 students in a middle school built a 2 room schoolhouse for an elementary school with 24 students built bathrooms for schools in 3 villages began construction on a 3 room schoolhouse for a middle school with 82 students gave 25 whiteboards to schools in 6 villages and provided school snacks for 24 students in an elementary school-$153,579
Our Scholarship Program provided grants for secondary students in Guatemala to pay for schooling costs including tuition housing and living costs when living away from home uniforms and school supplies This program supported 8 students this year$9,487$9,686
