“The 990 documentation is prepared by the treasurer with oversight by the president and one additional board member. Once completed, the document is made available in draft form to all board members. Adjustments, if any, are made and returned to the treasurer for final revisions. The final 990 is then made available to the complete board of directors for their approval prior to filing.”

“All board members review and sign their agreement to our published policy upon joining splashforward. Annually, the policy is reviewed and updated for ongoing compliance. Currently, no board members are in a financially beneficial relationship with splashforward.”

“Splashforward's charitable purpose is to raise and provide charitable funds to support and foster long-range development of local and regional aquatics facilities, to advocate for sustainable operations of such facilities, and to promote aquatic sports, safety, fitness, therapy, and related activities including aquatics-based health and wellness in the greater king county region of the state of washington. Splashforward's primary goal is to engage community leaders to provide and raise private funding to supplement local municipalities' goal of building and sustaining regional aquatics facilities. Its initial municipality is the city of bellevue, located in king county, washington, but foresees branching out into other municipalities including regional efforts. Splashforward will help riase private funding to sustain operations of aquatics facilities through community related aquatics programming opportunities. In addition to raising funds for aquatics facility development, splashforward will engage in outreach with the local community to promote access for all ages, all abilities, and all backgrounds to swimming facilities. Splashforward will develop educational materials that showcase the benefits of having aquatics facilities within the communities they serve. This will include materials demonstrating operational sustainability, health and wellness benefits, water safety benefits, and programming models that best meet the needs of the community.”

“The expenses paid include aquatics consulting, fundraising consulting, grant prospecting, and other general consulting expenses.”
