Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The middle way school of the hudson valley is an independent day school with 29 students ages 3-9 currently enrolled in three mixed-age classes, with plans to keep expanding to include preschool to 12th grade. As one of the first buddhist schools for children in the west, middle way is on a mission to prepare students to take their places in the modern world with the noble qualities of intelligence, confidence, and discipline, with an understanding of interdependence and a fundamental motivation of altruism. Students and families receive dedicated attention and individualized instruction, as well as an invitation to walk the path of wakefulness. The middle way school is a 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the state of new york and recognized by the nys education department (nysed) as a nonpublic school.
