“Annually in january, a board retreat is conducted when new board directors are trained, and all board directors review and sign a conflict of interest statement. If there is any change throughout the year, it is brought before the board for review.”

“Research for similar jobs and salary were conducted and reviewed to determine fair market compensation for our area. Based on these findings,an average salary was submitted to the board of directors for, discussion,and approval. Research included united way reports and glass door salaries.”

“300 volunteers contributed 2,400 hours helping to sort, pack, and distribute fresh boxes of produce for our foodshare program. Volunteers also gathered and delivered fresh produce for our gleaning program, rescuing excess food and delivering to multiple partner organizations. Additional volunteers worked in our community garden and helped in our main office, as well as attend to the people we serve.”

“In 2024, we aggregated 168,349 pounds of fresh produce to distribute through 9,163 foodshare fresh boxes to families in need. Our gleaning program brought in 87,282 pounds of food that was distributed to partner organizaitns who supply food to community members experiencing hunger and food insecurity, including food received through the usda lfpa program. Our new food hub aggregated 4,805 pounds of produce that was distributed to partner emergency food providers. In total, our program gleanded, pruchased, sorted, packed and distributed 260,436 pounds of fresh food that went to people suffering hunger, food insecurity, and health disparities. The value of this food was $248,148 with 30% of it being procured from local farms. We partnered with 17 partner sites to distribute foodshare boxes, and another 38 partner organizations (emergency food providers) to distribute rescued food (gleanings). Our food hub partnered with and supplied 7 organizations with fresh produce. This is a total of 79 partners for our programs. We utilized 300 volunteers contributing 2,400 hours of time to accomplish the food distribution and community garden activities.”
