Asset material diversion Part VI line 5

In march of 2024, we learned that some funds were missing from the resiliency collaboratives (trc) accounts. We took immediate action, including asking an employee to resign, securing our accounts, filing a report and hiring a new professional cpa to review all of our accounts and finances. The former employee turned herself in to police and entered a guilty plea on 3/13/2025. On 3/14/25, $70,000 was returned to the organziation, leaving $5,000 to be repaid by the employee through the county probation office within 12 months.trc hired an interim executive director to assist with establishing new procedures and to ensure continuity of trcs programs.

Each board member signs the conflict of interest policy at the beginning of the year. Should any conflicts arise, they are reported and either resolved or result in the members removal from the board.

Trc also leverages salary data from mission triangle and the nc center for nonprofits to establish fair and competitive compensation for other staff positions. The executive director, in consultation with the board as needed, evaluates market trends and internal equity to determine salaries, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budgetary considerations. Regular reviews of compensation are conducted to maintain fairness, address cost-of-living adjustments, and reflect evolving roles and responsibilities.

ON 3/14/25, $70,000 WAS RETURNED TO THE ORGANZIATION, LEAVING $5,000 TO BE REPAID BY THE EMPLOYEE THROUGH THE COUNTY PROBATION OFFICE WITHIN 12 MONTHS.TRC HIRED AN INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ASSIST WITH ESTABLISHING NEW PROCEDURES AND TO ENSURE CONTINUITY OF TRCS PROGRAMS.
