“Part III Line 28 - In 2021, Everyday Boston reached roughly 1,500 people through a mix of in-person and remote programming. Highlights of our 2021 programming include: - Co-leading the "Storytelling to Build Medical Trust" Initiative, a years-long story collecting project carried out in collaboration with Boston Medical Center, the B.L.A.C. Project and other community partners to amplify the voices of Black and brown people around bias in medical settings- and to activate providers to drive change. The project, which also involves restorative justice circles, is being funded by Boston University as well as the National Institutes of Health. - Being selected to participate in the Social Innovation Forum's accelerator program, designed to connect innovative nonprofit organizations and social businesses to supporters, investors, mentors and in-kind partners to amplify their social impact. Everyday Boston was representing the track "Dismantling hate: building social cohesion between and across communities," for our unique approach connecting people across differences through the sharing of stories. - Delivered our Curiosity and Connection curriculum, designed to help strengthen people's listening and communication skills with youth at colleges and Universities including Suffolk University, Emmanuel College, and Northeastern University, and partnered with faculty to support story collecting projects. - Organized our Love Your Wicked Awesome Neighbor challenge, which inspired hundreds of Bostonians to write and distribute encouraging notes to their neighbors on Valentine's Day.”
