“Part III Line 28 - In 2020, Everyday Boston reached roughly 2,000 people through a mix of in-person and remote programming. Highlights include:(1) Our annual Love Your Wicked Awesome Neighbor challenge, which inspired hundreds of Bostonians - and dozens of incarcerated individuals at MCI Concord and MCI Norfolk- to write and distribute encouraging notes to their neighbors on Valentine's Day, a few weeks before the pandemic began.(2)Remote story collecting projects designed to ease social isolation and connect neighbors across increasing divides. EB trained dozens of Bostonians, many of them youth, to interview their neighbors about their life experiences during the pandemic- most specifically, essential workers, elders of color, and entrepreneurs of color. (3)A series of events held over Zoom, from a story share session with seniors to explore intergenerational racism to a three-part series on the Cradle-to-Prison pipeline, featuring formerly incarcerated members of Everyday Boston.”
