Cohome, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing inclusion, independence, and community for adults with disabilities. Our mission is to create mainstream housing and programs where people with and without disabilities live, thrive, and belong together. At the heart of our work is our Flagship Residence in Morristown, NJ, a pioneering coliving community where nine adults, both with and without disabilities, share not only a home but a meaningful life together. The model integrates residents into the broader community, reducing isolation and fostering authentic relationships. Through this program, Cohome demonstrates that inclusive housing is not only possible but also deeply impactful. Over the past year, Cohome Expanded programming at our Flagship Residence, offering regular shared meals, cultural outings, and volunteer opportunities with local partners. Engaged over 250 community members through events, volunteer initiatives, and collaborations with neighborhood organizations. Piloted a new learning program, welcoming leaders in affordable housing, the nonprofit sector, and community development into our Flagship Residence to learn about our inclusive housing model and experience firsthand the impact of disability-inclusive community. Provided education and advocacy, sharing our model with local municipalities, developers, and nonprofit leaders interested in replicating inclusive housing in their communities.

Cohomes work goes beyond housing. It creates pathways for adults with disabilities to live independently while enjoying the richness of community life. Families report peace of mind knowing their loved ones are supported and engaged. Neighbors describe Cohome as a place where inclusion is not just an idea, but a lived reality. Cohome is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and operates with lean staffing, maximizing the impact of every dollar raised. Volunteers continue to play a vital role in programming and community engagement. Cohome is preparing to launch a capital campaign to both renovate the Flagship Residence into a fully accessible, state of the art inclusive housing model and build organizational capacity to sustain and expand this work. This initiative will position Cohome as a national leader in disability inclusive housing and serve as a catalyst for replication across the country.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0Cohome, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing inclusion, independence, and community for adults with disabilities. Our mission is to create mainstream housing and programs where people with and without disabilities live, thrive, and belong together. At the heart of our work is our Flagship Residence in Morristown, NJ, a pioneering coliving community where nine adults, both with and without disabilities, share not only a home but a meaningful life together. The model integrates residents into the broader community, reducing isolation and fostering authentic relationships. Through this program, Cohome demonstrates that inclusive housing is not only possible but also deeply impactful. Over the past year, Cohome Expanded programming at our Flagship Residence, offering regular shared meals, cultural outings, and volunteer opportunities with local partners. Engaged over 250 community members through events, volunteer initiatives, and collaborations with neighborhood organizations. Piloted a new learning program, welcoming leaders in affordable housing, the nonprofit sector, and community development into our Flagship Residence to learn about our inclusive housing model and experience firsthand the impact of disability-inclusive community. Provided education and advocacy, sharing our model with local municipalities, developers, and nonprofit leaders interested in replicating inclusive housing in their communities.

It creates pathways for adults with disabilities to live independently while enjoying the richness of community life. Families report peace of mind knowing their loved ones are supported and engaged. Neighbors describe Cohome as a place where inclusion is not just an idea, but a lived reality. Cohome is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and operates with lean staffing, maximizing the impact of every dollar raised. Volunteers continue to play a vital role in programming and community engagement. Cohome is preparing to launch a capital campaign to both renovate the Flagship Residence into a fully accessible, state of the art inclusive housing model and build organizational capacity to sustain and expand this work. This initiative will position Cohome as a national leader in disability inclusive housing and serve as a catalyst for replication across the country.
