“1)hui o kuapa 'aina momona worked with hui o kuapa to do repairs and permaculture research on kuapa fishpond, a traditional pond in moloka'i. We spent 10,000 collecting data, creating detailed maps of the area, and repairing structures to ensure the educational programs at kuapa fishpond could continue and be enhanced with modern data. This project benefits all residents of moloka'i, particularly students.”

“2)onipaa kakou 'aina momona was the lead coordinating organization for 'onipa'a kakou, an event that took place on january 17th 2018. Though the event itself took place in 2018, the extensive planning and coordinating phases occurred throughout 2017. Executive director walter ritte served as lead coordinator of the overall event, managing several groups and arranging transportation for all school-aged participants. Thousands of people and over 25 organizations attended the event.”

“3)ahonaulu 'aina momona provided critical support and funding to ahonaulu food and wellness retreat. This group held their first retreat in the fall of 2017, which 'aina momona funded. Through this multi-day retreat, nearly 200 moloka'i community members learned about growing their own micro food systems, preparing their own meals with resources from subsistence resources from the island's sustainability gathered resources, and developing a healthy lifestyle that focuses on healthy communities, healthy ecosystems, and healthy economies.”
