Mission

The charity, through takecare, a multi-year, multi-faceted national campaign, invites people to take care of their whole health - mind, body, spirit and community. The charity will educate the general public about whole health and wellness primarily through the medium of film - a series of short documentary films coupled wth a national educational public awareness campaign designed to inspire and empower the general public to actively participate in their own health and heathcare and adopt lifestyle behaviors that prevent chronic disease. To do so the charity will produce and disseminate 30-40 short documentary films (having an average length of 3-7 minutes) that further the charity's charitable and educational purposes and demonstrate how a whole health approach transforms lives. An accompanying website and social media presence will offer tools and other resources that will assist the general public in adopting lifestye behaviors that promote optimal health.

Before the death of executive director bonnie horrigan, the organization contracted with the horrigan corporation to provide management services. Specifically, the horrigan corportation made available to the organization the services of bonnie horrigan as the executive director of the organization. Through that management company arrangement, ms. Horrigan was charged with the administrative and executive management of the organization's affairs. After ms. Horrigan's death in november 2018, this relationship was passed to the new executive director, sharon reis, and her company, the reis group.
