The Board of Directors determines executive compensation. The CEO's salary was determined based on an independent analysis to help ensure that Education-Plus, Inc.'s compensation levels are reasonable to attract and retain the highest caliber of professionals needed to carry out its mission. Education-Plus, Inc. benchmarks itself against organizations of comparable mission across the region and the nation that are creating and scaling complex education and social sector programs and services. Market data are assembled for all elements of executive compensation (salary, benefits, and perquisites). Furthermore, the compensation levels reflect the scope of each top manager's responsibilities, educational background, experience, and industry standing, as well as individual and organization performance. Also, the top management officials' compensation cannot exceed amounts allowed by grants and contracts. Finally, it is the obligation of a compensation committee to assess the performance of Education-Plus, Inc.'s CEO, determine his/her compensation, and report its finding in this regard to the Board. The committee is also responsible for reviewing and approving the performance assessments and compensation recommendations for the top management positions.”

THE CENTER BLENDS THE MODEL OF A CONVENIENT CARE CLINIC FOR FAMILIES, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND SCHOOL STAFF WITH THE MEDICAL HOME MODEL TO SERVE AS PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. THE CLINICAL TEAM IS SUPPORTED BY A COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER WHO WORKS WITH STUDENTS AND FAMILIES TO PROVIDE HEALTH EDUCATION AND SUPPORT ADDRESSING THE SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH THAT AFFECT HEALTH AND ACADEMIC OUTCOMES. THIS HOLISTIC PROGRAM CONSISTENTLY FINDS DECREASED ABSENTEEISM AND HOSPITAL VISITS AMONG THE STUDENTS IT SERVES AND IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES OVERALL. IN THE LAST QUARTER OF THE 2020 SCHOOL YEAR THE SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTER PROGRAM PIVOTED IMMEDIATELY TO TELEHEALTH HELPING THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES TO ACCESS CRITICAL FOOD AND SOCIAL RESOURCES AS WELL AS MEDICATIONS AND ACUTE CARE AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. |

THROUGH A 21ST CENTURY AFTER-SCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAM, THE ORGANIZATION COLLABORATES WITH THE HOST SCHOOLS TO OFFER A COLLEGE PREPARATION, CREATIVE WRITING, AND STEM PROGRAM FOR AT-RISK MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM WORKS TO INTEGRATE WITH THE SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTER TO BUILD A TOTAL CULTURE OF HEALTH IN THE SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM CONSISTENTLY FINDS BETTER SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AND ACADEMIC IMPROVEMENTS AMONG YOUTH THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM ALSO HAD TO PIVOT IMMEDIATELY TO VIRTUAL EDUCATION, RUNNING THE SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM ENTIRELY VIRTUAL DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. ALSO THROUGH A COLLABORATION WITH PARTNERS I-LEAD AND HARCUM COLLEGE, THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHES SATELLITE OR BLENDED LEARNING SITES AS EXTENSIONS OF HIGH SCHOOLS THEREBY ENSURING THAT COLLEGE IS ACCESSIBLE, NEGOTIATING REDUCED COLLEGE TUITION COSTS TO JUST ABOVE WHAT LOW INCOME STUDENTS CAN LEVERAGE IN FINANCIAL AID GRANTS ENSURING COLLEGE IS AFFORDABLE, AND GRADUATING 75-80% OF ENTERING STUDENTS THROUGH THE DELIVERY OF A SMALL COHORT BOUTIQUE MODEL ENSURING THE COLLEGE IS ACCOUNTABLE. OUR MODEL REACHES OUT TO OVER 50 LOW INCOME STUDENTS PER YEAR THAT ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUATE IN 2.5 TO 3 YEARS WITH 62 CREDITS AND WITH A RETENTION RATE OF 91%, WITH 2 HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERS, AND 3 COLLEGE PARTNERS. THIS COLLEGE PROGRAM ALSO SUCCESSFULLY PIVOTED TO VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION FOR THE FINAL MONTHS OF THE SPRING SEMESTER DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC. |

Market data are assembled for all elements of executive compensation (salary, benefits, and perquisites). Furthermore, the compensation levels reflect the scope of each top manager's responsibilities, educational background, experience, and industry standing, as well as individual and organization performance. Also, the top management officials' compensation cannot exceed amounts allowed by grants and contracts. Finally, it is the obligation of a compensation committee to assess the performance of Education-Plus, Inc.'s CEO, determine his/her compensation, and report its finding in this regard to the Board. The committee is also responsible for reviewing and approving the performance assessments and compensation recommendations for the top management positions. |
