Medici Road

To develop equitable communities by providing data, products, and policies that create more affordable housing, better education systems, and equitable public health systems.

Medici Road was formed as a way to engage the community in conversation in developing ideas that would reduce poverty. We have a vision that centers on it being time to go beyond policy and make things that actually will change the course of poverty. From this vision we were able to focus on a mission statement that states: "It is our mission to reduce long-term generational poverty by linking educational and public health outcomes." Our vision and mission allows us to operate under our three key values: action, compassion, and practicality. Medici Road was created in 2016 with the idea that research and program evaluation could lead to developing products, programs, and services that people in poverty would actually use. We thought that by focusing on two core areas we could stimulate change in a third. The first two core areas are education and public health. Their intersecting point is poverty. Medici Road is broken into three centers. They are education, public health, and poverty.
