“The organization raises money to fund musical band(s) of youth in the middle east who play the steel drums. The money goes to pay instructors, buy/repair equipment and travel. The band(s) are comprised of jewish, muslim and christian youth.”

“The 2022 year saw a complete return to weekly steel drum rehearsals for kids from israel, the haifa region, and the west bank, in and around bethlehem. All together about 150 students were impacted weekly with rehearsals and periodic performances. Two workshops for these students, one in february and one in november. The workshops were three to four days in length for each group of students. We are at a point now where we need to identify new teachers to handle an increased demand for our steel bands. We also held a ten-day steel drum workshop in vienna, austria for refugee students there, mainly from the ukraine. Our two teachers from israel joined us there and were very well received by the students. The last day of the workshop saw a performance of the students in the steel bands in front of an audience of 300.”
