“Arizona apparel foundation's mission is to provide the knowledge and resources needed to foster arizona's fashion industry. Our vision is to create the next u.s. Fashion city in metropolitan phoenix, to support cutting edge research and innovation in wearable tech and to build a sustainable and exciting new industry in arizona. Arizona apparel foundation (aaf) is dedicated to helping local fashion design brands navigate obstacles to success by providing the resources they need to start, grow, and thrive in arizona. Aaf allows local brands to manufacture in arizona. Manufacturing apparel locally keeps money in the state, creates jobs, and ushers in a creative, new, sustainable, and in- demand industry.”

“Arizona apparel foundation is fostering arizona's fashion industry by reigniting the lost skill of apparel manufacturing, exciting and educating the next generation of fashion professionals and providing affordable and free services to the community including classes, vocational training, events and access to real industry equipment and designers. Aaf partners with the city of tempe and the downtown tempe authority as well as educational facilities such as arizona state university and phoenix unified school district. Aaf also works with organizations like eco fashion week, designer in residence scholarship program, go to market center, tch and businesses such as labelhorde and arizona fashion source, stax 3d printing, and more.”

“Arizona apparel foundation also has an active and dedicated board of directors, who work to build relationships, secure resources, and advocate for the foundation in innumerable ways. With their assistance, aaf will continue to establish collaborative partnerships. During the 18/19 fiscal year, volunteers gave 4,132 hours to aaf, valued at 70,560.83.”
