“At presencia we start with kids at a young age, teaching them how to lead with love by being a present example. We have four main values we aim to grow in our children, youth, leaders and volunteers at presencia: 1. Kindness - seeking the wellbeing of others, and showing love through our actions 2. Generosity - sharing what we have and giving what we do not need 3. Respect - recognizing the good, the beauty, and the dignity that exists in each other 4. Responsibility - doing what we say we will do, and owning our actions our leaders teach these values through: neighborhood tutoring - homework help, reading practice, healthy meals, and field trips for about 50 kids in our neighborhood youth mentoring- college prep, career development, service opportunities, monthly neighborhood clean-ups, and create presencia studio days leadership development & job opportunities- sales and retail experience through our presencia pop-up shops, and childhood development and education experience through our tutoring director positions -we had 50 students registered through our tutoring program. -our tutoring program was open 120 days, serving 15 kids each day. -we served 1,800 individual, hot nutritious meals. -we provided 900 hours of focused homework assistance to kids in our community.”
