Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The mission of STEM Education Inc is to empower children and young adults with the knowledge and resources needed to lead the world of tomorrow. By inspiring an early passion for science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on, scientific experimentation and exploration of today's technology, we realize the positive effects of our programs while fostering character development and team building skills. We aim to provide students with the resources, education, and life skills that will open doors to future scholarships and lead to employment opportunities as competitive industry professionals in STEM plus Computer Science fields.

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Online Innovation Challenge: This website was build and run to teach and inspire students that were stuck at home because of Covid 19 lockdowns. There were weekly challenges, and a final invention challenge that would lead to an Innovation Summit that would take place after COVID restrictions were lifted. The challenges ran from May 2020 to the end of August 2020 and we impacted unknown amounts of students and teachers. We estimate over 600 students and 40 teachers.$9,746$9,746
Kenya Internship Program - In February the ground work was laid to take our largest number of teams to work with the education programs in Kenya and the Native American Reservations. Also a 6 member humanitarian team was to work with the Maasai women's center we helped start last year. They all had to be canceled and rescheduled for Fall 2021 and summer of 2022. We continued to encourage and teach through online classes. We also had the Maasai as part of our food drive since the meat markets were closed so they couldn't sell goats for food.$6,745$6,741
COVID Relief Food Drive - When Kenya locked down because of COVID they closed all the local markets leaving many to fend for themselves to find food. We started in March to raise funds to buy food from the more expensive market stores that the government left open to distribute food to the people and areas that we knew of. We supplied each family with enough food to last over a month. We feed over 150 families. We wish we could have done more.$2,600$2,600
