Resource that can help a company launch a wellness program, but also complements and enhances existing wellness programs by highlighting best practices and offering free tools. By encouraging companies to embody the wellness atoz pillars of eatwell, playwell, livewell and workwell, wellness atoz creates meaningful content that is useful to anyone, regardless of age, race, gender, financial status or ability level. As a part of the workwell pillar, gpcf hosts quarterly forums to bring employers from all different industries together to discuss best practices surrounding employee wellness. Ideas are gathered, challenges are addressed and competitors work together for the greater good of the community. Each forum hosts 50-60 human resources professionals, impacting over 180,000 employees state-wide. In an effort to reach the community at large, gpcf organizes and executes the wellness wonders of arizona, which is an activity-based challenge underneath the playwell initiative. The bi-annual challenge highlights the unique features that make arizona a beautiful place to live, play and work. In 2017, the wellness wonders of arizona engaged 400 employers and active participation from over 6,200 individuals. Wellness atoz is the gpcf's initiative to attract and retain talent by making arizona known as a destination for healthy living and through several key programs, wellness atoz has reached a diverse population in the greater phoenix region.

Programs and convene to discuss workforce shortages and training solutions. For example, in 2017 more than 100 employers in the construction collaborative participated in three tours of local construction trade programs, increasing industry awareness and providing industry curriculum feedback to the education providers. In partnership with the city of phoenix's arizona@work office and six local employers, the financial services workforce collaborative utilized workforce innovation and opportunity act (wioa) funding to stand up a series 7 training program. Training employees before hire saved employers an average of 20,000 per individual hired, and resulted in job offers for eight out of thirteen participants. To enhance the talent and skills of arizona nurses, the hospital collaborative is developing a one-of-a-kind, multi-hospital system apprenticeship model for experienced arizona nurses to upskill into a specialty area. Both the compliance and risk management collaborative and the cybersecurity collaborative launched specialized career exploration websites to connect potential talent to training resources and employers.
