A copy of the form 990 is provided to the audit committee for review prior to its filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

When each easement project is presented to the Board of Directors, each director is required to state whether or not they have a conflict of interest with the project. If there is no conflict, a Certificate of No Conflict is completed and signed by the President of the Board of Directors. If there is a conflict, the board member(s) with the conflict must recuse themselves from all conversation and voting on said project.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15A: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management

A performance evaluation is completed on each employee every year. Management provides the board with comparable industry salary information on an annual basis or as requested. The executive committee reviews the performance evaluations, the industry salary information, cvft's relative financial condition and makes a recommendation to the full board for any adjustments to salary/benefits of staff.
