Mission

As the premier organization for manufacturers, sellers and providers of assistive technology, atia serves as the collective voice of the assistive technology industry to help ensure that the best products and services are delivered to persons with disabilities in order to enhance their learning, working and daily living.

To hold an annual conference on assistive technology as a forum for education and communication for practitioners serving those with disabilities. The organization also "speaks with a common voice" for the at industry with electronics and information technology companies and government.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The financial statement effects of a tax position taken or expected to be taken are recognized in the financial statements when it is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, that the position will be sustained upon examination. As of june 30, 2015, the association had no uncertain tax positions that qualify for recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. The federal and state tax returns of the association for the tax years 2011, 2012, and 2013 are subject to examination by the internal revenue service and state taxing authorities, generally for three years after they were filed.
