Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 2C:

The organization did not change its oversight process or selection process during the tax year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

Our organization's endowment funds are intended to provide long-term financial stability. We use a portion of the investment proceeds to support operations while preserving the principal to ensure sustainability for the future.

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and state income taxes under the state of california section 23701d, except on income derived from unrelated business activities. The organization does not believe it has unrelated business income to be reported for tax purposes. In addition, the organization believes that it has appropriate support for any income tax positions taken to date and, therefore, has no related income tax due for all years where the statute of limitations remains open, which is generally three years from federal and four years for california filings.
