Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Assistance-emergency basic needs provided 16,573 individuals in need with assistance. Emergency assistance addressed basic needs, including food, homelessness prevention, clothing, transportation, prescription medicines and referrals. During the latter part of the year, the ebn department was awarded two additional grants, one through the united way to assist those effected by hurricane harvey, the other was the emergency food and shelter grant. This allows the ebn department to assist over twice as many families with rent/mortgage assistance. The back to school project provided 1,785 children with school supplies, allowing the students to return to school ready to learn. The 2018 holiday project provided 1,972 children with holiday toys. Assistance-housing services served 139 unduplicated individuals and their 259 family members by providing 2,423 services such as housing search and placement, housing stability case management and other supportive services. At any given time throughout the year, the housing department provides homesfor 75 families each month. The case managers are taking individuals andfamilies literally off the street and placing them into safe homes in the community. From august 2018 to august 2019, nam provided disaster relief and behavioral health services for families impacted by hurricane harvey.these funds provided mortgage assistance, furniture, appliances and much needed home repairs. Since harvey, nam has provided services to over 15,700 people, impacting almost 5,000 households. Nam's disaster relief work resulted in local, state and national recognition. Nam's work was highlighted by the greater houston community foundation as a best practice for our efforts to address the needs of rosewood mobile home community. Our team led a comprehensive and collaborative assessment with hope disaster, the alliance and thrive, a ministry of robertson seventh-day adventist church. Our work resulted in replacing 7 mobile homes and repairing 12. Nam ended the program on december 31, 2019 and will spend the last of the funds repairing more rosewood homes. With the help of samaritan's purse, together we are likely to help all of the remaining 27 homes awaiting assistance. The joanne watford nutrition center, a client choice pantry, allows clients to shop for food based on their family size and needs leaving little or no waste. The jwnc provided food for 15,961 individuals. As part of the senior food program, 125 low income seniors received monthly supplemental groceries. In 2018 almost 900 families received thanksgiving meals and food for a week and in december almost 1,000 families received the same for the holidays. Nam received 140,790 pounds of goods from houston food bank retail pick-up program and 1,768 bags of food from the red barrel program. The interfaith homeless network served 679 homeless families with 683 individuals in families, assessed 164 for coordinator access and navigated approximately 24 into housing. 199 service referrals (move-in kits, cleaning supplies, street kits, etc.), via congregations, 560 volunteer hours.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4C

Our rebranded young at heart senior center provided serves to 397 senior members who participated in our activities designed to enhance socialization, physical fitness, and general well-being. The 60+ cafe congregate meal program provided 2,408 rides to the center and served 6,678 meals.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

The family violence center (fvc) provided 64,688 services to 4,968 individuals. Services included 3,322 safety plans, 5,291 occasions of crisis intervention, 2,571 shelter referrals, and 841 cases of legal advocacy. An additional 5,954 calls were received by fvc hotline and 5,959 area students participated in prevention programs. The fvc also successfully completed a pilot housing program which provided safe housing for 72 families fleeing domestic violence. In the learning center, 9 ged certificates were given, 201 adults attended financial literacy classes, with 89 of those attending financial coaching. Nam's thrive program provided 86 vocational scholarships, helping 70 students obtain jobs. Career fairs were well attended with 453 attendees and 489 adult education clients.
