Nam receives substantial donations of services from volunteer medical and other professionals. Additional volunteer hours are donated to fulfill the many activites of the organization.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Prevent homelessness. From august 2017 to august 2018, nam provided disaster relief and behavioral health services for families impacted by hurricane harvey.these funds provided housing, transportation, furnishings, appliances, home repairs, and many more services to over 13,530 people from 4,024 unduplicated households. Nam's work to help families recover resulted in new and stronger partnerships with nam congregations, relief agencies,local vendors, spring isd, klein isd and behavioral health providers working throughout nam's 20-zip code service area. The greater houston community foundation recognized nam for developing service delivery systems that are client-centered, efficient, and effective in healing families and helping them to rebuild their homes and their lives. The joanne watford nutrition center, a client choice pantry, allows clients to shop for food based on the family needs leaving little or no waste and provided food for 15,561 individuals. As part of the senior food program, 125 low income seniors received monthly supplemental groceries. In 2017 almost 900 families received thanksgiving meals and food for a week and in december almost 1,000 families received the same for the holidays. Nam received 177,400 pounds of goods from houston food bank retail pick-up program and 1,297 bags of food from the red barrel program. The interfaith homeless network (ihn)partnered with 19 host congregations to provide 43 families with 25 move-in/cleaning kits and financial assistance for rent and utilities. Coordinated access received 6,320 information and referral calls, assessed 280 homeless families for housing and employment opportunities and provided services including 136 bus tokens, 40 gas vouchers, 187 clothing vouchers, and 284 food vouchers.

The family violence center (fvc) provided 6,687 individuals service 68,932 units of crisis intervention, safety planning, adult and children's counseling, emergency shelter, legal advocacy,education services and; answered more than 8,300 calls from those in crisis. The fvc also participated in a pilot housing program which provided safe housing for 72 families fleeing domestic violence. 1,793,725 in the learning center, 159 financial literacy classes and 54 clients attended financial coaching. The thrive program provided provided 71 vocational scholarships with 54 individuals obtaining employment. Career fairs were well attended with 842 attendees and 417 adult education clients. In the workforce connector program 1,058 clients were seen with 325 referred to vocational training and 70 obtaining jobs. In addition under this program 325 referrals were made to financial education, 265 to adult education, and 282 to support services. 315,147 the resale shop provides low cost and no cost clothing and household items to nam's clients and shopping alternatives and volunteer opportunities to the community in general and support for other programs. 936,417

NAM RECEIVED 177,400 POUNDS OF GOODS FROM HOUSTON FOOD BANK RETAIL PICK-UP PROGRAM AND 1,297 BAGS OF FOOD FROM THE RED BARREL PROGRAM. THE INTERFAITH HOMELESS NETWORK (IHN)PARTNERED WITH 19 HOST CONGREGATIONS TO PROVIDE 43 FAMILIES WITH 25 MOVE-IN/CLEANING KITS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR RENT AND UTILITIES. COORDINATED ACCESS RECEIVED 6,320 INFORMATION AND REFERRAL CALLS, ASSESSED 280 HOMELESS FAMILIES FOR HOUSING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND PROVIDED SERVICES INCLUDING 136 BUS TOKENS, 40 GAS VOUCHERS, 187 CLOTHING VOUCHERS, AND 284 FOOD VOUCHERS.

MORE THAN 100 LOW INCOME SENIOR CLIENTS RECEIVED MONTHLY GROCERY DELIVERIES TO INCREASE THEIR FOOD BUDGETS. AS PRESCRIBED BY THEIR PHYSICIANS, 40 SENIORS RECEIVED NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS. 450 SENIOR MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN SENIOR CENTER ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO ENHANCE SOCIALIZATION, PHYSICAL FITNESS, AND GENERAL WELL-BEING. THE 60+ CAFE CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAM PROVIDED 1,438 RIDES TO THE CENTER AND SERVED 6,256 MEALS.

THE FVC ALSO PARTICIPATED IN A PILOT HOUSING PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDED SAFE HOUSING FOR 72 FAMILIES FLEEING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. 1,793,725 IN THE LEARNING CENTER, 159 FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES AND 54 CLIENTS ATTENDED FINANCIAL COACHING. THE THRIVE PROGRAM PROVIDED PROVIDED 71 VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS WITH 54 INDIVIDUALS OBTAINING EMPLOYMENT. CAREER FAIRS WERE WELL ATTENDED WITH 842 ATTENDEES AND 417 ADULT EDUCATION CLIENTS. IN THE WORKFORCE CONNECTOR PROGRAM 1,058 CLIENTS WERE SEEN WITH 325 REFERRED TO VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND 70 OBTAINING JOBS. IN ADDITION UNDER THIS PROGRAM 325 REFERRALS WERE MADE TO FINANCIAL EDUCATION, 265 TO ADULT EDUCATION, AND 282 TO SUPPORT SERVICES. 315,147 THE RESALE SHOP PROVIDES LOW COST AND NO COST CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO NAM'S CLIENTS AND SHOPPING ALTERNATIVES AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES TO THE COMMUNITY IN GENERAL AND SUPPORT FOR OTHER PROGRAMS. 936,417
