| DeeperEngaged Social Impact: The DeeperEngaged site gives nonprofits and teen programs with similar missions the same advantage weve had, particularly the kind of relational data that allows greater insight and knowledge into what works for an individual or a group of teens, what isnt working, and at what level of engagement foster youth are achieving. Nonprofit leaders and staff are capable of working together to solve critical, real-time issues through the DeeperEngaged Social Impact site. The site offers daily, specialized guidance that is relationally-driven, behavior oriented and unique to each situation. Teens and young adults doing navitents (navigational content) are provided the means to reach out to their peers who are going through similar circumstances to encourage and inspire each other on the behavioral training-social media platform that we use. Likewise, other program leaders are encouraged to work together on the site to gain real-time insight to teen challenges and offer solutions that are tailored to their specific needs, helping teens understand and apply positive behaviors to key parameters of their young lives. We guide nonprofit leaders to work more substantively with their own youth, and we learn from these leaders, as well. We demonstrate deeper, more meaningful engagement between leadership and the youth they serve. The goal is to help all our vulnerable teens and young adults more confidently solve important life issues, including how to move forward after traumatizing events. Together our aim is to help teens and young adults set goals and show them how to reach their goals, holding them accountable yet quickly responding to situations where they seem stuck. We can now collaborate with our own peers at a moments notice to show our young clients how to get unstuck and keep them moving forward. Ultimately, we become a catalyst to inspire hope in our clients and turn their dreams into a workable life, academic and career plan. Mostly, we help them determine their unique, core values, that they each have an important contribution to make, what their lives may accomplish and the possibilities before them no matter what theyve had to endure up to this point. This is what our Next Step program offers presently for Jeremiahs Promise users and what is available for other nonprofits to access as we work together on the DeeperEngaged Social Impact part of the platform to find better solutions to address the growing, complex needs of our foster teen and young adult clients. | - | $28,982 |
| The Next Step:Jeremiahs Promise assists in achieving measurable and sustainable behavioral transformation in a complex population of foster youth and young adults. To this end, we use a mobile, evidence-based, behavioral science-social media platform, in addition to personal involvement, to help promote vital changes that accelerate growth in pivotal areas such as mental health, socio-emotional progress, problem solving ability, academic resilience, leadership development and career path access and success. Through a strategic and focused approach, we use The Next Step technology to guide our vulnerable teens and young adults in navigating complicated issues as they bridge to adulthood. Theyre shown the way daily, step by step through a navigational-style, interactive format that leads them toward the wisest course of action to help them solve problems that, if left unaddressed or poorly addressed, tend to undermine their progress. Youth post their results on the site and encourage each other through the sites social media forum. Theyre given a way to interact with us directly through the site with confidential matters, to ask for additional support or simply to say thank you. | - | $19,320 |
| Emotional and Mental Health Program Expansion:One of our primary goals is to transform teen outlook and behaviors by significantly improving trauma-related mental health issues as we engage foster youth at emotional levels where measurable change takes place and is, therefore, sustainable. Our program model has supported transition-age foster teens and young adults predominantly in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, in 2023 we expanded services to the Hawaiian Islands to reach out to youth and young adults living in Hawaii, a place where PTSD, self harm and other mental health concerns have been on an alarming rise after being hard hit by the 2020-22 pandemic and its related social, relational and economic woes, not to mention the devastating wildfires of 2023, which added further emotional distress and even homelessness to an already disturbing situation. We aim to address these serious mental health challenges through strategic partnerships with local agencies and non-profits in addition to our own one-to-one support of youth which includes use of the DeeperEngaged Social Impact platform and the Next Step program. | - | $16,100 |
