Presa community service center is a nonprofit, multi service organization established to meet the social needs of the san antonio community through its major programs. The center provides services in economically depressed areas throughout the city of san antonio and bexar county through the following programs: counseling - addresses the special needs of families and individuals in crisis by a licensed counselor on a sliding fee scale. Appointments are required. Social services - the general public seeking services offered including emergency food and career closet, referrals for families to other agencies and day care scholarships. Nutrition - offering a meal and activities to senior adults who attend the center monday through friday. Additionally, presa delivers hot meals to homebound senior adults. Other major programs - youth, finacial literacy, transportation and others.
Presa meets the social needs of the children and elderly in the community through its programs.

NUTRITION - OFFERING A MEAL AND ACTIVITIES TO SENIOR ADULTS WHO ATTEND THE CENTER MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. ADDITIONALLY, PRESA DELIVERS HOT MEALS TO HOMEBOUND SENIOR ADULTS. OTHER MAJOR PROGRAMS - YOUTH, FINACIAL LITERACY, TRANSPORTATION AND OTHERS. |

THE FINANCIAL SELF SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM PROVIDES ONE ON ONE COUNSELING FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING EMPLOYMENT AND RESUME DEVELOPMENT. THEY ALSO OFFER CLASSES FOR FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS, BUDGETING, BANKING, ESTABLISHING GOOD CREDIT AND WORK FORCE DEVELOPMENT. THEY OFFER A 10 WEEK SMALL BUSINESS ACADEMY TO EDUCATE SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND POTENTIAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS IN THE COMMUNITY. AND THE COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, WHICH IS CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS, PROVIDES TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TO BECOME A CERTIFIED HEALTH WORKER.
