Climate plan -- supported advocacy by sacramento-based organizations on a regional plan that would achieve the highest per-capita greenhouse gas reduction targets in the state and be this region's first plan estimated to reduce traffic congestion.- built the foundation for similar success in the san joaquin valley by working with local elected officials to understand the benefits of smarter planning, building an active regional working group of over 25 non-profits, and providing technical support and education to local allies.- hosted 4 statewide convenings and co-hosted 3 regional forums to connect health, equity, environmental and transportation stakeholders from across california to share best practices and strategize on the implementation of sustainable communities strategies. Kept those stakeholders connected via five regular workgroups, including one focused on state policy, which allow groups to find common ground and develop policies that promote health and equity while helping achieve greenhouse gas reduction targets.

Activity 3

Safe routes to schools - - served over 30,000 students at public schools in alameda county.- brought education assemblies on pedestrian & helmet safety to over 20,000 students at more than 40 schools in alameda county.- provided bicycle safety trainings to over 3,000 students.- assisted cities in assessing traffic and intersection safety in 10 cities in alameda county.- assisted in regional planning and trainings for bay area-wide safe routes to schools programming.
