Mission

To develop, establish and finnancially support facilities and programs which are designed to make the game of golf more accessible to children of all social strata, particulary those without the financials means to learn and play golf, by combining affordable access with teaching the game of golf, its rules, and instilling the essential values learned through the game of golf while developing great self-esteem, civic responsibility and confidence in the participants in order to broaden their goals in life.

To teach essential values and character through the use of the unique aspects of the game of golf

The executive director and the treasurer review the 990 before filing. The full board of directors is kept abreast of information in the 990.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

The organization does monitor and enforce its conflict of interest policy. Board members are required to read and sign a conflict of interest agreement on an annual basis. Compliance is a requirement to retain a seat on the board. The executive director reviews all business contracts and relationships to ensure there are no conflicts of interest between the first tee and any director or staff person.

In order to determine the compensation levels for all key employee positions, including the executive director, the jack stephens youth golf academy, inc. Consults with the first tee international. The first tee internaitonal provides salary guidelines for all positions. The board of directors utilizes that guidance to establish salary levels. Executive director compensation was established according to this process during 2011 and agan in 2014.
