HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING CONSERVATION PROJECTS 1) NORTH FORK OF NORTH FORK AMERICAN RIVER PRESERVE: 320 ACRES OF FORESTED CANYON LAND IN THE SIERRAS INCLUDING APPROX 1.2 RIVER MILES OF THE NORTH FORK OF NORTH FORK AMERICAN RIVER, WHICH FEEDS A FEDERALLY-DESIGNED "WILD AND SCENIC RIVER." 2) LOERA-HARVEY NORTH FORK PRESERVE: 42 ACRE PARCEL ON THE NORTH FORK AMERICAN RIVER NEAR WEIMAR, INCLUDING APPROX 1/4 MILE OF RIVER FRONTAGE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RIVER; 3) BEARD RANCH PRESERVE: 137 ACRE CATTLE RANCH IN AUBURN. PROTECTED BY AN AGRICULTURAL CONSERVATION EASEMENT, THE PROPERTY WILL CONTINUE FOR AGRICULTURAL USE FOR PERPETUITY, AS WELL AS SUPPORTING A DIVERSE RANGE OF PLANTS AND WILDLIFE; 4) SPRING GARDEN PRESERVE: 192 ACRES OF FORESTED LAND NEAR THE COMMUNITY OF FORESTHILL, WITH A RIVER THAT RUNS THROUGH THE PROPERTY AND ULTIMATELY INTO THE MIDDLE FORK AMERICAN RIVER.
