| Coordination and Planning - Continued to develop Valley Foothills Watershed Collaborative (VFWC) a regional partnership to share expertise from nonprofit, government, and private organizations to help implement priority projects for watershed health. The program manager met with potential partners throughout the year to discuss projects and funding sources in the Sacramento Area. Projects descriptions were developed for 11 projects to be included in the American River Basin Stormwater Resource Plan and the American River Basin Integrated Regional Water Resource Plan. Staff attended both the SWRP and IRWMP planning processes. The effort to establish VFWC as an independent nonprofit corporation began. Participated as a core member of the collaborative group that came together to develop and implement the Morrison Creek Revitalization Project that aimed to transform a mile of this Southeast Sacramento waterway from a fenced stormwater channel into a neighborhood asset with native riparian vegetation, paths for bicycles and pedestrians, and connections to nearby schools and parks, while keeping its flood protection capacity.
