Mission

Women for excellence, inc. Is a not-for profit organization designed for professional women. The organizations objectives are: to provide resources for women to continue to achieve economic prosperity; to share a sense of comaraderie; to promote leadership and professionalism; to promote networking; and to be of service to the community. The organization holds monthly networking luncheons to provide a forum for professional women to develop business relationships and expand their knowledge of issues that affect women in business.

AN AVERAGE OF 60 MEMBERS ATTENDED THE LUNCHEONS DURING WHICH THEY LISTENED TO A SPEAKER AND NETWORKED WITH FELLOW MEMBERS.--

DURING THE MONTHLY MEETINGS, THE ORGANIZATION SOLD RAFFLE TICKETS. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE RAFFLES WERE EARMARKED TO A SCHOLARSHIP FUND THROUGH THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLORSHIP FUND. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS MUST BE A DISADVANTAGED WOMEN AND BE SELECTED BY THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLORSHIP FUND COMMITTEE ACCORDING TO GUIDELINES SUBMITTED BY WOMEN FOR EXCELLENCE. I.the organization held 12 monthly networking luncheons to provide a forum for professional women to develop business relationships and expand their knowledge of issues that affect women in business. An average of 60 members attended the luncheons during which they listened to a speaker and networked with fellow members.

The organization held quarterly evening networking events. On average, 25 to 30 members attended each of the events, which were held at various locations. The organization underwrote a portion of the events and members paid a reduced amount.

During the monthly meetings, the organization sold raffle tickets. All proceeds from the raffles were earmarked to a scholarship fund through the george snow scholorship fund. Scholarship recipients must be a disadvantaged women and be selected by the george snow scholorship fund committee according to guidelines submitted by women for excellence. Raffle prizes are donated by members. By donating a prize, members get name recognition at the meeting and in our newsletters. Raffle proceeds are reported on line 6a. The organization sold advertising for the newsletter. The proceeds helped subsidize the expenses for producing the newsletter. Members who advertised got additional exposure for their businesses. Advertising proceeds are reported on line 8.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS MUST BE A DISADVANTAGED WOMEN AND BE SELECTED BY THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLORSHIP FUND COMMITTEE ACCORDING TO GUIDELINES SUBMITTED BY WOMEN FOR EXCELLENCE. RAFFLE PRIZES ARE DONATED BY MEMBERS. BY DONATING A PRIZE, MEMBERS GET NAME RECOGNITION AT THE MEETING AND IN OUR NEWSLETTERS. RAFFLE PROCEEDS ARE REPORTED ON LINE 6A. THE ORGANIZATION SOLD ADVERTISING FOR THE NEWSLETTER. THE PROCEEDS HELPED SUBSIDIZE THE EXPENSES FOR PRODUCING THE NEWSLETTER. MEMBERS WHO ADVERTISED GOT ADDITIONAL EXPOSURE FOR THEIR BUSINESSES. ADVERTISING PROCEEDS ARE REPORTED ON LINE 8.
