“During the monthly meetings, the organization raises money for the purpose of making a contribution to a scholarship fund managed by the george snow scholorship fund. Scholarship recipients must be disadvantaged women and be selected by the george snow scholorship fund committee according to guidelines submitted by women for excellence. To generate scholarship funds, the organization sells raffle tickets, obtains corporate sponsors for meetings, holds events, and encourages members to contribute directly to the scholarship fund. Raffle prizes are donated by members. By donating a prize, members get name recognition at the meeting and in our newsletters. Proceeds earmarked for the scholarship fund are reported on line 6d. The contribution to the george snow scholarship fund is reported on line 10. Amounts raised during the year are submitted to the george snow scholarship fund by the following april.”
