DURING THE MONTHLY MEETINGS, THE ORGANIZATION RAISES MONEY FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING A CONTRIBUTION TO A SCHOLARSHIP FUND MANAGED BY THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLORSHIP FUND. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS MUST BE DISADVANTAGED WOMEN AND BE SELECTED BY THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLORSHIP FUND COMMITTEE ACCORDING TO GUIDELINES SUBMITTED BY WOMEN FOR EXCELLENCE. An average of 20 to 30 members attend each luncheons during which they listen to a speaker and network with fellow members.

The organization holds quarterly evening networking events. On average, 25 to 30 members attend each of the events, which are held at various locations. The organization underwrites a portion of the events and members pay a reduced amount.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 31

During the monthly meetings, the organization raises money for the purpose of making a contribution to a scholarship fund managed by the george snow scholorship fund. Scholarship recipients must be disadvantaged women and be selected by the george snow scholorship fund committee according to guidelines submitted by women for excellence. To generate scholarship funds, the organization sells raffle tickets, obtains corporate sponsors for meetings, holds events, and encourages members to contribute directly to the scholarship fund. Raffle prizes are donated by members. By donating a prize, members get name recognition at the meeting and in our newsletters. Proceeds earmarked for the scholarship fund are reported on line 6d. The contribution to the george snow scholarship fund is reported on line 10. Amounts raised during the year are submitted to the george snow scholarship fund by the following april.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS MUST BE DISADVANTAGED WOMEN AND BE SELECTED BY THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLORSHIP FUND COMMITTEE ACCORDING TO GUIDELINES SUBMITTED BY WOMEN FOR EXCELLENCE. TO GENERATE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS, THE ORGANIZATION SELLS RAFFLE TICKETS, OBTAINS CORPORATE SPONSORS FOR MEETINGS, HOLDS EVENTS, AND ENCOURAGES MEMBERS TO CONTRIBUTE DIRECTLY TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND. RAFFLE PRIZES ARE DONATED BY MEMBERS. BY DONATING A PRIZE, MEMBERS GET NAME RECOGNITION AT THE MEETING AND IN OUR NEWSLETTERS. PROCEEDS EARMARKED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND ARE REPORTED ON LINE 6D. THE CONTRIBUTION TO THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLARSHIP FUND IS REPORTED ON LINE 10. AMOUNTS RAISED DURING THE YEAR ARE SUBMITTED TO THE GEORGE SNOW SCHOLARSHIP FUND BY THE FOLLOWING APRIL.
