Further, 887 training events for nonprofit entities were held with 14,509 attendees. Program service expenses: 358,348. Compassion coalition joined klf in 2018 to inform, equip, and connect churches, individuals and community partners. In 2019, compassion coalition informed: 1) through the distribution of over 6,000 copies of salt & light, a comprehensive guide to community needs, local agencies and resources available to churches; and 2) distributed a weekly email newsletter to over 3,000 subscribers resulting in 91% of community needs being met. Compassion coalition equiped churches through a series of benevolence training workshops; 22 trainings were attended by 390 individuals. Compassion coalition connected to churches and community partners through connection point, a call center. In 2019, connection point responded to 1,871 calls, engaging 1,483 organizations. In total, 2,593 individuals were served.”

“The foundation accounts for uncertain tax positions using a two-step approach. The first step is to determine whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination, including resolution of any related appeals or litigation processes, based on the technical merits of the position.
