“Once the 990 is received from the accountant it is emailed to all Board members. They are asked to review and suggest any corrections/additions and email them back to the Executive Director. The Executive Director reviews the 990 as well and formulates corrections/additions if any were made by the board members and emails them to the accountant. The corrections/additions are then discussed between the Executive Director and the accountant. The corrected 990 is then re-submitted to the Executive Director for final review and signature.”

In 2016, 429 volunteers gave 21,548 hours of service to repair 38 homes. Material costs totaled $47,012; the majority of the funds were raised by volunteer groups. The estimated value of donated time is $455,956. 59 skilled volunteers helped construct the new Volunteer House in progress; labor and in-kind materials - $100,262. In addition, St. Vincent Mission provided approximately 49,064 meals worth of commodities, donated food and food certificates and another $4,583 in personal care items to 2,456 people throughout 2016. 410 individuals benefited from the 2016 Christmas Store. The mission received $73,618 in donated food, clothing and Christmas gift items. |
