Activity 2

The haven of rcs offers a comprehensive approach to empowering survivors of domestic violence through outreach services, an emergency safe house, transitional living and violence prevention programs. Nearly 20,000 individuals benefited from services, including 249 women and 145 children that received emergency shelter, over 2,000 people assisted in the courts, and 3,187 called into our 24/7 domestic violence hotline. Over 3,000 youth benefited from domestic violence prevention education as a means to end the violence for future generations.

Activity 3

Rcs grace house helps families facing homelessness through prevention assistance and emergency shelter programming. Last year 173 families, with 372 children, received emergency shelter in our dignified apartments while participating in intense case management. Of the families completing the 8-week program, nearly 90% moved into stable housing. 58 families, with 121 children, were provided homeless prevention services including financial aid and case management. Of the families served, 95% successfully prevented homelessness. An additional 636 households received financial assistance, without case management, as a means to prevent homelessness.
