It is the policy of pre-school experience, inc that no member of the board of directors or member of his/her family shall directly or indirectly financially benefit from their association with the organization to the detriment of the organization. The president of the board of directors inqires annually and ensures that the other directors have read the conflict of interest policy and are in compliance with it. All transactions must go through the normal procurement procedures. In the event that a transaction involves a board member, that board member must avoid participating in a vote. In addition, the board must be made aware of all potential conflicts of interest. No conflicts of interest have occurred in the past and none are anticipated.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

The board members are not compensated. The sole key employee was the executive director for many years, mary gray. In december, the position of executive director became unnecessary, and ms. Gray was let go with a severance package consisting of her salary through december 17, an additional two weeks pay through december 31, her monthly mileage allowance, any accrued sick pay and vacation pay, and one week of pay for each year of service. This severance was approved unanimously by the board of directors. The total pay to ms. Gray was 103,248.35. This was considered very fair in light of ms. Grays help in winding down the operation of the preschool facilitating the sales and donations of the contents of the building and her thirty two years of service.

Form 990, Part III, Line 3

The organization ceased accepting children in april 2020, as reported on the 2020 forms. The decision was made to sell the child care facility in its entirety and use the proceeds to make donations to deserving 501c3 organizations that are consistent with the goals of furthering education, nutrition, and skills building among children in the city and county. Expenses have been reduced to a minimum, including the required records storage as well as telephone and legal and professional fees. No more public contributions are being solicited. The remaining funds, less the required expenses, are expected to be disbursed in 2022 and, perhaps, 2023, after which the organization will be dissolved.

AND OVER A PERIOD OF A COUPLE OF MONTHS, VARIOUS LOCAL CHARITIES CAME AND BROWSED AND TOOK WHAT THEY WANTED. THOSE INCLUDED R-CLUB CHILD CARE, INC HEAD START THE SALVATION ARMY GOODWILL INDUSTRIES 30TH AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH AND ST BEDES EPISCOPAL CHURCH.
