The mission of quest communities is "to create resilient communities and foster social equity through collaboration and service integration." quest is a comprehensive community development corporation on atlanta's westside that provides socially equitable housing and supportive services, and coordinates a host of health, economic and social services for residents. We promote the concept that everyone deserves a strong foundation -- a safe home with an extensive social support network that allows all residents to thrive. Quest communities, founded in 2001, provides services for homeless, very low income, and marginally housed persons on atlanta's westside. We recognized early in our development that comprehensive supportive services coupled with stable housing was essential for client healing and self- sufficiency. Over the years, we have refined this approach to create a replicable model for transforming the lives of the people we serve. Quest owns and/or manages over 200 housing units, 11 single family homes, and 4 commercial properties. In addition, quest currently manages the personal finances of over 500 clients throughout the state of georgia for whom social security has deemed them unable to manage their own finances. Quest develops affordable housing for underserved individuals and families, and reduces barriers to economic mobility. Quest revitalizes, not only the communities we serve, but the people who reside there. Quest owns and operates affordable housing units that serve as vehicles for anti- displacement and resident stabilization. We strive to build stable and vibrant communities for those who have been disenfranchised. Our approach positions communities and residents to break the cycle of generational poverty. For nearly 20 years, we've created intentional communities to demonstrate that everyone deserves an opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams. Our work ultimately helps to change the perception around affordable housing, proving that equity can be delivered across the socio-economic divide. At quest, we know that a community can change a life, and that life can change the world. Qfs: quest financial services is a certified representative payee organization that manages the social security benefit income for individuals with special needs and may require assistance managing their own funds. Quest financial also offers veteran fiduciary services and provides financial management for over 500 social security beneficiaries and veterans throughout the state of georgia. Our goal is to reinforce housing stability by ensuring timely payments of monthly bills; including rent, utilities, and other expenses to avoid homelessness. We assist our clients with meeting their financial needs while also serving to protect against financial exploitation and abuse within this vulnerable population.

Quest community development organization is the payee of record for clients who receive monthly social security benefits from the social security administration.

The organization is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, as amended, and is classified by the internal revenue service as other than a private foundation. Accordingly, no provisions for federal and state income taxes have been recorded in the accompanying financial statements. The organization believes that it has appropriate support for any tax position taken and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The organizations income tax returns are subject to examination by the appropriate regulatory authorities for all open years, which include the last three years.
