“2020 covid-19 crisis relief honduras, venezuela, brazil, nicaragua 2020 was a challenging year for global missions. Covid stepped onto the world stage, threatening to close doors and to stop travel. However, in god's hands, challenges become opportunities. Through years of building relationships, frontline missions was able to continue the work of the kingdom through our international leaders. We sent food and financial support, maintaining a presence at a time when it would seem missions would come to a standstill. Technology may have enabled us to communicate more frequently than in prior years. By empowering our local leaders and pastors and partnering with our generous supporters, relationships grew, donations increased, and villages were cared for and fed. New churches were started, leaders were developed, and new believers were discipled. We stand amazed at god's goodness in multiplying the relationships and kingdom impact in a year of such obstacles. Indeed, there is nothing that can stop our amazing god honduras - flower mountain venezuela brazil nicaragua salvations: 981 new communities: 54 new bible studies: 58 new churches: 4 new leaders: 47 people fed:3,000-5,000”
“Connecting with the nations honduras - tolupan people of flower mountain flower mountain has undergone great transformation in a beautiful way through the years. Frontline has served through sending medical & dental teams, construction teams, discipling entrepreneurs, as well as teams ministering to children, and connecting students in the us with children in flower mountain. With covid restrictions, our tactics changed, but the ministry continued. Meily garrido, our frontline missions honduras director, along with pastor luis and his wife, lucia, delivered food, egg- laying chickens, roosters, and medical supplies for covid relief multiple times to the tolupan people in flower mountain. Our friends in flower mountain were carried through a trying time of shut-downs and restrictions. Meily also worked with waterstep to bring fresh water to honduran villages. Frontline looks forward to again sending "boots on the ground" in late 2021 and 2022. In the meantime, we rejoice in god's provision to share help and the good news of jesus christ when doors were closed to international travel. Our national honduran team continued strong total of people served: 3,200 honduras - la campa greg and jean hines, full-time missionaries living in honduras, are very connected with the people of la campa and the surrounding villages. They disciple and encourage pastors and leaders in doing the work of the ministry. They build unity among local believers, while they also lead teams to do medical missions, building projects, and other ministries. They have also started the 'ruben house' through their extended 'hines ministry', which disciples and cares for people with physical disabilities, providing a beautiful, safe environment as well as medical staff that cares for the patients and performs physical therapy to better their lives. Total of people served: 1,474 colombia in colombia, we are engaged both with indigenous people groups and non- indigenous churches. We continue to support and encourage our leaders of the indigenous wayuu community, thereby remaining connected with their twelve villages. The gospel was shared through the jesus film to villages that had never heard the good news of jesus christ. We are also engaged with multiple churches in colombia. Even through this time of travel limitations, we continue to train and equip ministry leaders to minister to their people, and help develop unity among the various christian communities. We also empower and help provide resources for pastors and leaders to share practical help, food, and the gospel of jesus christ in their communities during the trying days of 2020. Salvations: 858 new bible studies: 13 venezuela we stand amazed at the joy and vitality of our leaders in venezuela. Their faith stands strong in the midst of persecution, governmental control, poverty, and restrictions. 2020 tested them in many ways, but they have continued to feed the hungry, go door-to-door sharing the gospel of jesus christ, to disciple, pray, worship, and study the bible in various homes every night, as well as to care for the sick through prayer and medication distribution. We rejoice that we are able to partner with them through provision as well as in prayer, encouragement, and discipleship. We could not do this without the generous support of our frontline missions partners salvations: (nov-dec) 107 total of people served (oct-dec): 1,096”
“Jesus film project - evangelism to the indigenous nations brazil & guyana in december 2018, frontline embarked on a new adventure. We went to brazil to train and equip indigenous leaders to travel and share the gospel of jesus christ through storying, building relationships, and loving the people in unreached, unengaged people groups. 2019 was a year of stretching these leaders' wings to begin this new ministry. God's wisdom in this new journey became crystal clear when the world stopped traveling in 2020. God's message of hope did not stop among these indigenous nations our indigenous leaders on the frontline continued to share the love of jesus christ and saw villages impacted with the good news. We were able to encourage and support their work. Since they knew the culture and were accustomed to the harsh travel conditions, they were uniquely equipped to reach their neighbors. One previous 'unreached, unengaged people group' was even taken off the list due to these outreaches through one of our beloved pastors and his family in brazil that just can't stop traveling to share the good news of christ we praise him for his great work and stand amazed at his faithfulness salvations: 324 total of people served:3,167”
