“We promoted the involvement of more parents by creating committees for which volunteers could join to run specific events. We held a very successful boosterthon fun run. We funded outdoor areas for kids and gave each grade level funds for classroom needs. We sponsored events, fall festival, winter dance, spring fling, and provided treats for the teachers during appreciation week. We continued math nights at publix, where students had to use math in real life to plan recipes, shop, spend and save money. Ksu sponsored science nights where college students came out to engage our students in science experiments.”
