“We promoted the involvement of more parents by creating committees for which volunteers could join to run specific events. We held 2 successful fundraisers. We held many after school events for the community including festivals and dances. We worked with local businesses and colleges to accelerate learning for our students. Math nights at publix, where students had to use math in real life to plan recipes, shop, spend and save money. Ksu sponsored science nights where college students came out to engage our students in science experiments”
